DURIAN CULTIVATION IN JOHOR

In recent years, tropical fruit cultivation has been booming, especially the cultivation of durian, not only in Malaysia but across the whole of Southeast Asia. Last year, durian cultivation in Thailand covered 110,000 hectares while Malaysia has 70,000 hectares in the year of 2018 and it is estimated that we have more than 100,000 hectares of durian cultivation at this point in time. Vietnam’s durian cultivation is also growing at rapid pace as they have about 100,000 hectares of durian cultivation according to statistical data provided by the Vietnam Durian Research Institute.
