THE BOURNE INTERVENTION

Arranging a feature visit to see a classic lorry can be a surprisingly complicated affair. Often, you are first made aware of the vehicle either on social media, via a tip off or the owner contacting you. Then you have to arrange a visit. If it’s based quite a distance away it’s often dependent on setting up some other jobs in the same area to make the expense of the journey worthwhile.

Then, if the lorry is still working, that can throw in additional complication, as while a weekday shoot is often more likely, you need to fit in with the owner’s working needs – paying work generally comes before magazine shoots. You also generally have to go to wherever the lorry happens to be working…
