FORWARD THINKING

I am pro-technology. Without computers and the plethora of gadgets modern writers have at their disposal, I would not be here. If this discipline relied solely on the ability to use pen and paper – and maybe a dictionary – then I would be totally, and irretrievably stuck. All my words would remain in my imagination. Perhaps in days of old, I would have become a verbal storyteller. Quaint – yet oh so limited.

It is with gusto then, that I write this article. Many mistrust the array of innovations that appear daily over the horizon. Others are purists with a firm belief that writing is an activity for highly educated individuals armed with a typewriter. Then there are those writers who employ some modern paraphernalia – they’ve found what works - and are reluctant to change. Whatever your standpoint, let me introduce you to a few new things.
