FB: You’ve shown some real strong potential this season, but what has it taken for you to find the pace this year?

“It’s a combination of lots of things, but the biggest thing has to be experience, even subconsciously. When I turn up to the races now, I know what I need to do with the bike, and I know where my braking markers are. These little things really help to get the weekend rolling. When you get closer to the front of the field straight away, you have more time to set the bike up because you’re closer to the lap times; everything just becomes more relevant. Also, a massive thing this year has been having a good crew chief -not that any of my other crew chiefs have been bad, but this one has been much better at working with me as a rider and improving me, and that’s been highlighted massively to me this year. I’ve also worked with a sports psychologist over the winter
