From the notebook of a sportswriter who feels invigorated by a football game:

• Not many words, but they say so much.

• Why does an old-school football game provide such a re-charging of the batteries?

• We, as humans, feel grace when we create, and that creation can be anything, not just art. It can be football Xs and Os, I suppose. So how do 60 minutes of non-creative blocking and tackling provide that grace?
