There’s always time to ‘give back’

The Steelers’ ongoing commitment to give back to the Pittsburgh community has had players busy over the past month, including a rookie class that has been especially active.

The rookies spent time at the Duquesne City School District, the Best of the Batch Foundation, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and the Latino Community Center, all to provide a helping hand.

The rookies worked hand-in-hand with former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch to hand out backpacks as part of his “Batch Packs” program. The Batch Packs, filled with school supplies, were given to several hundred kids in the Duquesne City School District, as well as teacher bags filled with all the necessities.
