Ten minute job that saves £200

The fresh water on my Jeanneau Sun Odyssey starts well, then slows to a trickle. The inlet strainer is clean so I suspect my very noisy pump. It’s a Jabsco Par Max 3.5 and no longer made.

So I order a new HD4 pump, also made by Jabsco, for £200. I fit the new pump and it works well, then slows to a trickle. I suspect the double check valve. After an hour on the internet I work out how to remove it to see if it is faulty. The job takes 10 minutes, no tools required: pull out the blue retaining
