WHY OUR LOCAL RIVERS ARE IMPORTANT AND SIMPLE STEPS YOU CAN MAKE TO HELP THEM

I’m Clare, one of the Regional Representatives for Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), a marine conservation charity. Spending time on the rivers became so magical and life changing for me that I wanted to introduce the local rivers to you and show you why I love spending time on them.

I am also a Blue Health Coach and Paddleboard Instructor running lessons and wellbeing nature retreats with SUP & Soul, one of the Surfers Against Sewage 250 Club (small businesses that support our work). The local SAS Team have recently been working hard lobbying the Government to create solutions for cleaner and safer seas. I came into the team recently as a result of the paddle cleanups that I have done on inland waterways.
