Acquitting herself well

One can’t help but notice that the characters Katherine Parkinson plays on television have some common traits. Quite often, they are lawyers. Sometimes they have problems with technology. Increasingly, they are suburban mothers wrestling with law careers and tech troubles.

One can’t help but notice that Parkinson, 43, is very good at playing such characters. So good that her current comedy-heavy career is a bit like Olivia Colman’s career pre-Broad-church – the tip of an iceberg.
