Dr Mariam Jamal-Hanjani, 43, helped develop a world-first autopsy study to investigate how cancer spreads, and is featured in a major new exhibition of  cancer pioneers. She lives in London with her medic husband Adam, 45, and their five-year-old son, Noah.

When I tell people what I do, they’ll sometimes say, ‘Oh, like ’ It is pretty much like that, but without the criminal investigations, and I’ll bring it back to the science and the patient.
