Review: LXR-02 Drum Synth

The digital drum synth was created in close cooperation between Erica Synths and Sonic Potions and was originally a DYI project which, fortunately for all non-solderers, has made the leap to a readily available product. Each of the six tracks can be adjusted in detail with over 30 parameters, covering virtual analog drums and percussion, as well as hard-hitting Industrial sounds or weird LoFi sounds. Besides the wide sound palette, drum kit morphing is one of the highlights of this instrument.
Operation and haptics
The LXR-02 comes elegantly packaged in black. The handy printed manual, which proved to be quite helpful in the test, is a positive feature. Although we were able to intuitively tweak the first beats without any assistance due to the well thought-out operation, the small and clear manual was very practical for the basic understanding of special functions such as morphing in the initial phase.
The workmanship impressed us right away. The housing is made of sturdy metal and ensures a good weight to this 230 x 145 x 70 mm device. Faders and pots offer
