MATERIALS

• Four 12.5cm (5in) Charm Square Packs (42 per pack)
• 2.75m (3yd) solid white fabric
• 50cm ( 5/8yd) binding fabric
• 3.7m (4yd) backing fabric
• Batting at least 1.75m (68in) square

• Paper for foundation piecing
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot
• General sewing supplies

Finished size: 152cm (60in) square

Note: Read all the instructions before starting the project. Requirements are based on fabric 107cm (42in) wide. It is recommended that fabrics be 100% cotton. Seam allowances of1/4in are used throughout. Instructions are provided for using the printed Pattern Sheet in the magazine, but you can also download the digital patterns from www.homespun.net.auand print them out.

PREPARATION AND CUTTING

1 Trace or print 100 Diamond in a Square blocks from the Pattern Sheet for foundation piecing. Trim the paper pattern 1/8in outside the outer marked line.

2 Select 13 prints to use for the Friendship Stars in Block A and 12 prints to use in Block B.

3 From each of the 13 Block A print squares, cut:
