The 1962 Quantum was an attractive sports car — a low, lithe, fiberglass-bodied two-seater that looked like it could really go. But believing American drivers would flock to a sports car powered by a 51-cu.in. two-stroke engine was a stretch, despite its Jaguar-like styling.
