Trends don’t tend to change too much in the classic Ford world when it comes to modified Escorts. With the exception of a select few, we usually see two schools of thought: the rally car approach with wide Forest arches and classic colour combinations and liveries, or the tried-and-tested South London look, consisting of subtle colours, perfect stance and near standard looks. For decades, both have provided the inspiration for plenty of iconic builds, but it seems a new school is now emerging from the south of London…
With mean and moody paint, huge arches and super wide wheels to fill them (front and back), these cars represent the new era. What’s more, under the bonnet there’s no hot Pinto on carbs; instead these cars run strictly big-boosted turbo power.
