NEW YEAR’S TREATS

From the long-awaited second season of boundary-pushing high school drama Euphoria to DC Comics offerings Peacemaker and Naomi, the return of tongue-in-cheek televangelist parody The Righteous Gemstones and Oprah Winfrey-backed drama The Kings of Napa, 2022 is certain to get off to a memorable start with FOXTEL’s addictive array of exclusive programming.

Euphoria (s2)

• The season one finale of Euphoria left viewers on a knife’s edge, as our flawed heroine Rue Bennett (Zendaya) relapsed in spectacular style. But that wasn’t the only cliffhanger moment.

Elsewhere, Jules (Hunter Schafer) left town alone for a fresh start in the city, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) sought out an abortion and Maddy (Alexa Demie) took evidence from on-off boyfriend Nate’s (Jacob Elordi) room that could have some damaging repercussions for his dad, Cal (Eric Dane).

“It’s a challenging season,” Zendaya says of this latest outing. “It’s gonna be hard and it’s gonna be devastating sometimes, but I think Rue really deserves all of that care when it comes to her character, because I think she represents a lot for so many people… I think this season’s not going to be easy.”
