Current shortwave conditions seem to be favoring Asian reception, some DXers are reporting good results from Myanmar Radio (5980 kHz) as well as Thazin Radio (6165, 7345, and 9590 kHz). And, Philippine reception from the FEBC outlets has also been good, not to mention all the vast pickings from China National Radio. Good luck going after these tasty targets!
~ Radio Verdad (Truth) in Chiquimula, Guatemala, (4055 kHz) is off the air due to transmitter failure. It’ll probably be sometime in 2022 before their Canadian engineer can get down there to make repairs. That’s due to Covid-19, says their gerente (manager).
~ Radio Ethiopia has turned up on its old spot after a multi-month absence over much of 2021. The 7110 kHz frequency is being noted by several listeners, including our own Harold Sellers.
