Hilo Trollers News
The pandemic and the new variant continue to put a damper on public meetings of the Hilo Trollers. The club’s 2022 board of directors will get organized in time to make the hard decisions about the 2022 season. Any board meetings will likely be held virtually, and captains will be notified well ahead of tournaments, which are normally held on the first Sunday of each month from May to September. Meanwhile, check regularly for updates on Instagram (@hilotrollers). The fish will be here in May, so it’s never too soon to be thinking, planning and preparing.
More than 90 percent of the new hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19 are among the unvaccinated, and that creates a reservoir for the virus to continue and even mutate. So please, if you are not vaccinated, give serious consideration getting vaccinated for the sake of your family, children and others.
