10.2-lb Nile Tilapia

This huge tilapia was caught at a pond in Wailoa State Park, and was weighed and witnessed at S. Tokunaga Store in Hilo.

I caught it on November 20th while fishing for mullet, using an Okuma Hawaiian Custom Menpachi 10-foot 7-inch rod and a Daiwa BG 3000 reel, with 10-lb. Power Pro mainline. My rig hada 6-lb J-Line Fluorocarbon leader and it was floating with limu for
