8 tips for more finished tracks

1 Set time limits

t may sound banal, but there is a lot of truth to it: If an idea cannot be brought to the point within 20-30 minutes, it is too complex or maybe just not good. So allocate your precious time well and focus on the things that really get you ahead and make you happier in the end. Why not use the timer on your smartphone and give yourself 20 minutes each for beat, bass, hookline, etc.? If the idea doesn‘t work, discard it and move on to the next element.
