Restoring disc brake front hubs

The front hubs on a Mini are subject to a high degree of force every time the car is driven, especially when it is driven enthusiastically, making regular maintenance very important. The two swivel joint nipples (and the others on the car) should be greased at least every 3,000 miles. Doing this makes a huge difference to the overall feel of the Mini and regular greasing will probably make the steering swivels last four or five times longer. The top and bottom swivels will probably need to be replaced or adjusted every 20-40,000 miles on average anyway. Even if you have servicing carried out for you, DIY greasing is still a good idea between services.
