January is a taxing time
No sooner had I finished ignoring my tax return than my annual sailing club membership renewal form arrived. Talk about stress! My accountant is a fully paid-up out-of-port member of the Magic Circle with impressive juggling skills and a marvellous knack of making things disappear. In more normal times I’d get him to fill in my sailing club renewal but what with the latest round of social distancing rules I’m no longer allowed to visit him at Wormwood Scrubs.
