• 50cm (⅝yd) light cotton canvas or quilter’s muslin
• 50cm (⅝yd) cotton or silk fabric (reversible lining)
• Scraps of assorted print fabrics
• Sashiko thread; Shannon and Jason used Aurifil 12-weight cotton thread in a number of different colours
• Sashiko needles
• Washable glue stick, such as Elmer’s School Glue
• Erasable fabric-marking pen
• Rotary cutter, quilter’s ruler and mat
• Sewing machine
• General sewing supplies
