Remove special characters that won’t print

hen you import data from the internet into a spreadsheet, it sometimes contains extra ASCII characters that won’t print. You can remove these using Excel’s CLEAN function. in our screenshot above) to delete unwanted ASCII characters from cell F6. You can also set a range of cells by typing, say, F6:F10. In our example, we’ve removed the vertical tab from the first row of cells .
