RUBY BARR hit the ground running at the first pony premier of the season, heading the opening day’s Charles Britton winter JA classic with the sole clear, before ticking off Hickstead qualification with both of her JC rides.
The Hertfordshire-based 14-year-old admitted she had never jumped her 12-year-old mare Faith X clear around a JA classic track before the show, but demonstrated she has entered the new year on a fresh vein of form.
