INTER in the North-west Highlands can be something truly special. I can think of few things more joyous than a crisp, snowy day up on the ridges of Torridon, Kintail or Assynt. The landscapes found in the North-west are almost unquestionably the most impressive anywhere in the UK, and the quality of the hillwalking found here is unmatched.
