WHAT’S CAUSING YOUR HAIR LOSS?

Throughout life we make and lose hair, with 50-100 hairs lost daily as part of the normal growth cycle. But, as we age, we make less hair and its quality declines, which can lead to thinning or even balding. ‘For many, hair loss can increase at around 40 years old,’ says Stephen Garfit, consultant trichologist at the Leeds Trichology Clinic. ‘This is usually seen in a loss of density, reduction of ponytail volume or widening of the parting.’
