Pick Me Up!

FADING AWAY

Taking a bite of my favourite meal, my mum’s macaroni and cheese, I closed my eyes and savoured the taste.

Then I turned to the sick bucket beside me, and heaved.

Sitting back up, breathing deeply, I just wanted to cry.

‘Why is this happening to me?’ I sobbed to my mum Margaret, 50, as she stroked my hair softly.

It had started back in February 2017 with nausea.
