The ex-seasoning factory worker did all right: making the 1991 European Cup Final was sandwiched by three Ligue 1 titles at Marseille,, “and was awarded Mullet of the Year.” He never lost his love for the game, however, playing on at Falkirk, Bradford, Sunderland, Burnley and Torquay. A coaching stint at Wednesday didn’t cut it, so ‘Magic Chris’ was back in action for non-league Worksop by 2000-01.
