The 2020s and the global COVID pandemic are shining a spotlight on all the work and workers that we sometimes take for granted, even though our worlds would stop turning without them. And since essential work is often as backbreaking, dirty and demanding, it’s tied right in with a man named Mike Rowe and his classic reality-doccie series Dirty Jobs (2003-2012), Tuesday on Discovery Channel (*121) at 20:55.
