It took a good few months to run in Sheldon’s 1293cc Rob Walker engine. I have to say that running the engine in was actually quite painless as I combined it with fun trips out to the coast and the countryside on A-roads, rather than motorways which is a no-no with the running-in process. The 500-mile mark was a good point to get the engine tuned on a rolling road and it’s a critical part of engine set-up.
