In the last issue of Rolls-Royce & Bentley Driver, we featured a trio of adverts published in 1979 by component suppliers to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Rolls-Royce. As we explained, there was obvious prestige in being associated with The Best Car in the World, something that could only enhance a supplier’s reputation – and here are another two examples from that very same year.

The full-colour ad came from Connolly Bros, with the headline boasting that “For 75 years Rolls-Royce have been using Connolly leather”. The advert featured a selection of photographs
