POWERFUL EYEFUL

Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis syn. E. rostkoviana) has long been well regarded as a cure for eye maladies and is used extensively in Europe, North America, Western and Northern Asia.

It’s an annual semi-parasitic plant that for its nourishment relies on the roots of other plants, grass in particular. Growing to about 30cm high, it has elegant purple or white-and-purpleveined flowers and belongs to the Orobanchaceae or broomrapes family.
