Rod Stewart is pretty much an open book. During the course of his interview with People magazine, though, two topics make the legendary rocker squirm. First there’s the thought of losing his signature spiky blond hair. “Oh, let’s move on. I can’t even think of it!” he declares melodramatically. And second? Retirement. “Don’t you dare mention that word,” he says with a laugh. “If there’s people out there who want to hear me sing, I’ll be there.”

True to his word, Stewart, 77, is, his 31st studio album.
