Q I suffer from arthritis. Is there anything I can do to help treat it naturally and relieve the pain?
A Treatments include ensuring your diet includes antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C and E, to help prevent further damage to the joints. Add turmeric to dishes as it contains curcumin, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids is also helpful as they are anti-inflammatory. Oily fish, such as sardines, mackerel and herring are good options, or for vegetarians, flaxseeds, linseeds, chia seeds and walnuts.
