SPRINGFIELD’S Little QUEEN

Jake was born in Springfield, Missouri. At the early age of six, he had already learned to play guitar and by twelve, he started piano and vocal training. From fifth grade, he started performing in theatre productions. He remembers his local Springfield theatre friends as “sweet, sweet saviours who made spaces safe” during a crossroads of his life when his budding queerness clashed with the devout faithfulness of the Bible Belters all around him.
