SAFE BEHIND WOODEN WALLS

I started with some 3 mm thick plastic card (an ex-advertising sign), which I prefer to use as bases for my pieces of scatter terrain, and a piece of 4 mm thick scrap wood (part of a fruit packing crate that was picked up for free from Pershore retail market). The plastic card was cut into rough lozenge or elongated kidney shapes and the edges were first trimmed and then sanded smooth.
