Family circle

My parents, Marjory and Peter, were sensible people.

They wore sensible clothes, sensible shoes and Dad drove a sensible car called Lizzie. In an emergency, Dad reckoned she might manage 50 kilometres an hour if hills and snow weren’t involved.

But I grew up in Canada so hills and snow were always involved.
