Back in 2012 Adventure Moto boss Steve ‘Wolfy’ Smith and I teamed up to ride the APC Rally aboard a couple of ‘adventurised’ Yamaha WR450Fs to give the first fuel-injected WRs a real baptism of fire. Decked out with Safari Tanks large-capacity tanks and fairings, and a whole lot more modifications, they proved to be awesome bikes that never missed a beat on the 14-day and 7,000km ride.
