MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

⃞ ½ yard each of four tone-on-tone green prints for tree blocks
⃞ ¼ yard brown solid for cross in tree blocks
⃞ Fat quarter each of red, white, and tan barn board prints for houses
⃞ ⅛ yard tan with circles print for windows
⃞ ⅛ yard medium gray solid for doors
⃞ ⅓ yard white tone-on-tone print for stars
⃞ 2⅞ yard gray/blue tone-on-tone print for background
⃞ ⅝ yard black solid for barn roofs and binding
⃞ ¾ yard tone-on-tone black print for outer border
⃞ 3½ yards fabric of choice for backing

APPLIQUÉ PREPARATION AND CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

See page 95 for general appliqué preparation instructions. Note: We recommend grouping all pieces cut for the tree blocks, house blocks, and star blocks into three separate stacks. This will assist when piecing.

From each of four tone-on-tone green prints for tree blocks, cut:

• 1 – 5" x WOF strip, then sub-cut into: 24 – 5" squares, cut once diagonally from corner to corner for 48 center triangles
• 3 – 2 ½" x WOF strips, then sub-cut them into: 144 – 2 ½" squares for outer frame. There will be leftover strip portions.

From brown solid for cross in tree blocks, cut:
