Every little bit of woodcock matters

It was my daughter who once told me, when she was doing a handover to her replacement when she was changing jobs, “you don’t realise just how much information you gather together and store up for future use until you come to pass it on”. Given she is half my age, I suppose that I have at least double of what she has stored up ready to pass on. But I didn’t go to university and I’ve not ended up in some pretty far-flung corners of the globe.
