heniere Energy buys natural gas in the US – where prices are lower – and exports it as liquefied natural gas (LNG). As the invasion of Ukraine pressures European powers to “wean themselves off Russian gas”, which accounted for 41.9% of gas imports into the bloc in 2019, Cheniere offers a strong alternative source. The firm has raised its 2022 earnings forecast by 20% to $7.5bn and is looking to expand its fuel terminal capacity. Shares
