Bury Farm Winter Classic, Bucks
A LIGHTER competition schedule over the past two months did nothing to curb Mark Edwards’ form – he claimed the grand prix and added a feature class at each strata at his first winter classic of 2022.
It was Marlene Edwards’ 11-year-old Flying Tinker II who topped the four-strong jump-off in the grand prix, stealing a 5.9sec headway from final draw with the quickest of two double clears. Phillip Miller and the nine-year-old stallion, Don Royale, were the only other combination to leave the fences standing around Phil Ashworth’s track.
