For a large part of the country, April is the most magical time of the year for a bass angler. Depending on weather trends, bass are generally in all three phases of the spawn in April, which creates a scenario where anglers can almost take their pick as to what they want to fish with. With that said, it can be tricky to find an effective technique to cover water, yet fish slowly enough to trigger a fish that is on a bed. Fishing a soft-plastic jerkbait may be the solution to that problem.
