Social-news network Reddit contains plenty of useful information and discussion, but with more than 100,000 communities – known as ‘subreddits’ – finding it isn’t always easy. A major update to Reddit’s mobile app – the first for two years – introduces a new Discover feature that lets you browse content and communities that match your interests.

To access Discover, tap the compass icon in the menu bar along the bottom of the app (see screenshot below). You’ll be presented with posts from popular subreddits and others that are relevant to your existing subscriptions (if you’re already a Reddit user).
