How many times have you heard the following as you wait in a queue on the phone: “This call will be recorded for quality and training purposes”? And how many times have you thought it would be useful if you could do the same yourself? Sometimes it’s handy to have a record of what was said, by whom, and when, so you have irrefutable evidence if you become involved in a dispute.
It’s easier than you might imagine to record your calls, whether you’re using a landline or smartphone. But before you do, read the box opposite to make sure you understand the legal restrictions, both in the UK and internationally.
