(ROUND UP)
eil Maskell plays a criminal enforcer out for revenge on his former gang members in (25 March, download). Quite why is slowly revealed as he (out now, DVD/download) follows two female mountaineers; an encounter with four men leaves one dead and the other free-climbing to escape with video evidence of the murder. What should be a vertiginous thrill ride is hamstrung by its budget – the mountain is mostly very obviously a studio – and a script that clumsily focuses more on the idiot antagonists’ in-fighting than on the heroine’s fight for survival. Any fans who don’t already own 2013 documentary (Blu-ray, out now), snap it up now it’s come to HD. Over six hours long, with over 150 interviewees, it’s crammed with fascinating visuals: candid on-set photos, concept art, artist’s impressions of scenes never shot. There are interesting anecdotes galore, and it doesn’t shy away from discussing behind-the-scenes bust-ups, or pointing out errors. Also released: a 4K edition of the original (28 March), featuring all the goodies from Arrow Video’s 2019 Blu-ray edition, and box sets of season six (out now, Blu-ray/DVD) and season three (28 March, Blu-ray/DVD).
