When two people are as in sync, and as in love, as Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato, you don’t have to warm them up to the subject.
Playful and teasing with one another, they’re a joy to talk to, their banter laugh-out-loud funny, their connection completely effortless. And yet, this is the first time they’ve come together for a photoshoot and interview, giving HELLO! a unique glimpse into their dynamic as a couple on the eve of the release of an album that, says Michael, 46, is “a love letter to my family”.
His and Luisana’s story, which began in her native Buenos Aires in 2008 – “I knew the second I saw her,” he says of meeting the then-20-year-old Argentinian actress – is one of passion, laughter, deep emotion and, yes, heartbreak.
Although the ordeal of their eldest son’s illness has been well documented (diagnosed at age three, Noah was thankfully declared cancer-free in 2018), the pain of the experience is something Michael still references because, in many ways, it has informed who they are today, both as individuals and as a couple.
As Luisana, 34, tells us: “I have a connection with Mike that is so deep, no matter what happens between us, we are family.”
