HOW TO MAKE A FLOWERS-ON-TULLE HOOP

MATERIALS

■ Selection of dried flowers including white and pink mangles everlasting, pink German statice, purple statice, winged everlasting, peppercorn berries, pink strawflowers and dark pink globe amaranth

■ 6" wooden embroidery hoop

■ Tulle fabric

■ PVA glue and brush

■ Craft tweezers

Spring is when we get to welcome in a flourish of new colours for the year, and things feel a little more fresh and exciting. So we think it’s only right to work some beautiful blooms into our crafting projects, too.

Dried flowers are having a real moment in the spotlight – not surprising given how much longer they’ll last than the for bouquets). Olga’s delicate hoop makes the most of soft spring pastels and has lots of texture that you can admire every time you walk past it up on a wall. By using a tulle background, it gives the impression that the flowers are floating inside the hoop – choose your flowers and colour scheme based on the wall you’ll be hanging it on for a personalised look.
