SPRING HAS FINALLY SPRUNG

It’s seemed like a lot of missed opportunities lately have conspired against me. Mostly this has been weather-related. Such factors as onshore winds making the sea uncomfortable to fish in, crosshore winds making the launches too hairy and rain lashing down when the low offshore winds have coincided with the days I’ve had free. With local reports from charter friends, beach fishermen and other kayak anglers all pointing to a noticeable lack of any fish worth catching, it’s left me at a bit of a loose end and the drive to load up the car and buy out the bait shop has been missing somewhat.
