After the Zoom call ends, my phone alerts me to breaking news. It’s the afternoon of April 12 and after months of deflections and denials, Boris Johnson has just been fined by police for Covid breaches at a birthday party. It’s proof of lies, hypocrisy. Confirmation of the entitlement that permeates the establishment.
